The Problem
… IEDs continue to kill and maim US & Coalition forces as well as civilians throughout the war zone and wherever terrorists attack. The IED is relatively inexpensive to make, easy to deploy and devastating in physical, emotional and psychological impact. Consequently, the IED remains the weapon of choice for terrorists worldwide.
… When one considers the Types of Weapons & Means of Delivery available to ‘bombers’ and the enormous availability of targets (the ultimate ‘target-rich’ environment), it is intuitively obvious that once the IED is placed, we are on the defensive and faced with a complex and dangerous task.

RedXDefense enables Military to go on the offensive
RedXDefense’s approach to combating the IED threat combines a proprietary technology for trace detection of explosives with a unique Concept of Operations (ConOp) which enables offensive operations against terrorists and allows the war-fighter to go ‘left of boom’.
RedXDefenseis focused on novel approaches to explosives detection and protection that address the unique needs of the military, businesses, and homeland security.
Our Corporate Headquarters:
RedX’s corporate headquarters in Rockville, MD is a complete hardware and software engineering design, prototyping and test facility. The 11,200 sq ft facility includes office and meeting space, plus a prototype and high-bay area with approximately 4,000 sq ft of combined space. The facility is equipped with state-of-the art chemical synthesis and test capabilities as well as electrical and mechanical assembly workstations.
RedX’s multi-user Pro/Engineer CAD system supports drafting, modeling, and animation, and document management using an Oracle-based revision control system. Our software development environment supports multiple languages, cross platform development, branch management, revision control, unit testing, and regression testing.
