R. E. Dugan, President & CEO RedX Strategic Advisory Board: [SAB members] __________________________________________________
Dr. Dugan is an experienced professional in defense against explosive threats and counterterrorism. On these topics, she has briefed or advised such esteemed figures as the Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, the Deputy Director of HSARPA, the Chief Scientist of the FAA, as well as the Army Science Board, the Defense Science Board, the National Research Council, among others. Dr. Dugan is a former DARPA Program Manager where she was named Program Manager of the Year, received the Bronze deFleury medal, the most prestigious award of the Army Engineer Regiment. Dr. Dugan co-founded Dugan Ventures, a niche investment firm, where she has served as President & CEO with primary responsibility for identifying new opportunities, due diligence, and all investment transactions. In this capacity, she has served in senior executive positions in three companies with responsibilities ranging from the development of strategic business relationships, legal and financial matters, as well as the building of a direct sales, marketing, and distribution capability throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. Mr. McVeigh has 19 years of professional experience in management and software development. At Spirent Communications, he was a leading contributor to System and Application Health Monitoring and Notification used by major US Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs) and led the integration effort of remote Internet Protocol (IP) network test probes into the Operational Support Systems (OSS) used by the US ILECs. As Director of Software Development at Net-Hopper, he led a team of developers in the development, deployment, and testing of a remote Network Test Access System used by companies such as Solomon Smith Barney, America Online, and State Farm.
Mr. Montgomery has over 14 years of experience in product development and production with Motorola’s cellular phone division. Since 1992, he designed complex mechanical parts and systems for many cellular phones, including the StarTAC, and holds two patents. As an engineering manager he led the design of several successful high-end and high-volume wireless products from concept through mass production. He brings to RedXDefense extensive experience with consumer product design, supply chain management, high-volume manufacturing, and best-in-class quality standards. Mr. Montgomery received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Elliott has been a leading figure in the trace explosives detection and security industry for over 17 years. In his most recent role as Vice President, Product Management and Market Development at Smiths Detection, he managed the trace detection product line. His primary duties included product road mapping, requirements development and assisting in product launches. Mr. Elliott has traveled to approximately 40 countries conducting demonstrations, seminars, trade shows, training, and customer evaluations. His responsibilities included the establishment and management of representative and distributor networks as well as direct sales and marketing personnel. Mark obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo.
Mr. Ashourian has over 10 years of experience in financial planning & implementation, budgeting & forecasting, mergers & acquisitions and financial modeling for companies ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining RedXDefense, Mr. Ashourian was the Director of Accounting at VoiceLog LLC. He developed and implemented comprehensive business plans and strategies that positioned VoiceLog LLC for significant growth. The company was recognized by "Inc 500" as the fastest growing company two years in a row. He also successfully led the multi-million dollar acquisition of VoiceLog LLC by a large publicly traded multi-national corporation. Mr. Ashourian has a B.S. from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Jones has over 27 years experience in managing, planning, developing and maintaining a professional security force. He has worked for the Department of Energy, Department of the Navy as well as a municipal Police Department. He supervised a team of professionals who provided technical assistance for all US Navy law enforcement and physical security activities throughout the western United States, Pacific Seaboard, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. As a Regional Director of Public Safety he managed over 450 Police and Fire professionals protecting the navy’s largest training center. He is the recipient of the Navy’s personal excellence award for leadership and personal accomplishments in law enforcements and physical security. He received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (Summa Cum Laude) from National University San Diego, CA, is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s “Command Officers Development Course for Law Enforcement” at the University of Louisville and has the distinction of being a Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International.
Mr. Mathias has over 10 years experience in information technology and management. Prior to joining RedXDefense he was the Software Development Manager for System Automation Corporation. In this role he was responsible for overall architecture, design, and direction of four Enterprise Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software products. Mr. Mathias was also the co-founder and CEO of Dual Edge Technologies, a Towson based Software Company. He brings expertise in strategic planning, quality control, and organizational leadership with strong qualifications in software implementation, diverse software delivery environments, directing development projects, and establishing formal development methodologies and practices.
Dr. Toal received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego in 2005 where she researched photoluminescent materials as chemical sensors for nitrogen-based explosives and carcinogenic chromium(VI). She has a diverse background in chemistry, including photophysical chemistry, solid-state and solution fluorimetry, dynamic light scattering, polymer chemistry, and synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry. She is an Achievement Rewards for Collegiate Scientists Scholar and has authored numerous academic publications and patents. Dr. Toal also received a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of California, Irvine.
Ms. Haney has over 9 years of experience in manufacturing/producibility engineering with Martin Marietta. While at Martin Marietta, Ms. Haney was awarded the Jefferson Cup for innovative application of Design for Assembly and Manufacture on the Comanche and JDAM programs. Recently, Ms. Haney’s efforts as a technical proposal manager resulted in the win of a $12 million DARPA program. She has been instrumental in the creation of company websites and branding as well as writing press releases and marketing for several technology companies. Ms. Haney received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering and minor in Professional Writing and Language from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Kotowicz has over 24 years of experience in graphic and industrial design. He has worked for clients in Canada, Europe, South America and the United States. Mr. Kotowicz received awards for poster, packaging design and digital illustration and worked on product development, advertising campaigns, web animations as well as corporate ID and architectural projects. He has a Masters Degree in Architecture and Engineering from Gdansk Technical University and studied graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland.
Ms. Alexander has over 22 years of experience in Office Administration. She has worked as an office manager and executive assistant in the semiconductor industry and on government contracts. She has 10 years of experience in the high tech industry as liaison between companies, international and foreign, to facilitate and manage all types of negotiations and various aspects of partnerships. Ms. Alexander has been recognized for her exceptional knowledge and achievements in office administration and customer relations with numerous awards.
